Spring is in the air and we are looking forward to our annual Spring Bazaar which will take place on Saturday 25th March 2017 from 10.00am to 12 noon.
Many people will not know what has to be organised for the Bazaar to take place, so the information below will explain what goes on and how everyone can be involved.
This is the only Playgroup fundraising event of the year so we would like everyone to get involved.
The Bazaar has been running almost as long as the Playgroup and apart from a few tweaks, the format hasn’t changed from year to year so we just follow the previous plans.
The committee meets less than half a dozen times to suit the majority whether that be during playgroup or in the evening with a glass of wine!
The main duties of the committee are:
Deciding on stalls – as previously said, this doesn’t change much from year to year
Sourcing raffle/silent auction prizes – everyone is asked to help with this and the more people on the committee, the easier it is
Buying tuck shop items – this is usually a dash round the cash and carry followed by a coffee
Set up the night before – usually from 9-10pm
Organising the Bazaar is great fun and the event raises valuable funds which help pay for extra resources for the children to enjoy such as dancing with Judy and trips to the Puppet Theatre.
We look forward to as many families as possible helping out on the day and in the weeks running up to the Bazaar.
